This commitment is shared by the Finnish leadership but, even more importantly, by the Finnish people.įinland has ranked as the least corrupt, most egalitarian, one of the most educated, and most democratic countries in the world. We carry our responsibilities in our region and beyond, and we are committed to support Ukraine and to defend ourselves and the values we stand for. Finland is an able ally and a security provider. This partnership is something that Finland has offered to the United States. This leadership helps to keep doors open and enemies at bay, but there would be no leadership without a partnership. was already awake when most of Europe was still sleeping, relatively undisturbed by Russia’s power political gaming. With the level of economic and military support it has offered to Ukraine, the United States remains the indispensable force in Europe. These values are being challenged by Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine.
